Michael Fassbender as Lynch in ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Movie - The Hottest
Early this year we got word from Ubisoft that the movie adaption to their very popular franchise, Assassin’s Creed, has started production, and 6 months later via a Yahoo exclusive we got to our first look at Michael Fassbender in his assassin attire.
Fans of the Desmond/Ezio story line from Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations will be pleased because the synopsis to this Justin Kurzel directed adaptation seems to be heavily inspired by the events that transpired in those 3 games. However, even though the story to this movie will bear a striking resemblance to that of Assassin’s Creed II, it will not be a retelling of that story. Instead it will focus on a new character created specifically for this movie and will take place in the same universe as the Assassin’s Creed games.
The assassin this movie will focus on is named Callum Lynch who after discovering that he comes from a long line of assassins is put under a machine similar to the Animus that Desmond was put under and through genetic memories Lynch will learn the skills of the Creed by experience the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar.
The Assassin’s Creed movie is set to hit theaters in December 21, 2016, and will not be only Ubisoft IP to have its own movie. Others include Far Cry, Watch Dogs, Rabbids, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon. All these movies including the Assassin’s Creed movie will be under the creative control of the Ubisoft Motion Pictures group.
